Statement of Doctrine & Beliefs

I. We Believe that there is one God, eternally wise and existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

II. We Believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayers, and that He saves from sin and death all that come to Him through the Son, Jesus Christ.

III. We Believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, the divine, eternal and only begotten. We believe that in His earthly life He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. We believe in His vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father to make intercession for the saints, and in His personal, visible return to the world in power and glory.

IV. We Believe in God the Holy Spirit, in His personality and deity, that He was sent forth from the Father to convict the world of sin, of unrighteousness and of judgment. We believe that He is come to regenerate, indwell, sanctify, instruct and comfort the saints.

V. We Believe that the Bible is God's Holy Word, verbally and fully inspired and perfect in the original text, the sole and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct, and the power of God unto salvation.

VI. We Believe that we are saved solely by grace, through faith in the blood, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and not by our works or deeds.

VII. We Believe we cannot be saved by our works, but that good works are a result of salvation, and no one can do good works apart from Christ. (James 2:17)

VIII. We Believe in the Church --- the living spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the Head and of which all regenerated persons are members. We believe that the Lord laid upon the Church the task of persuading a lost and sinful world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master in their lives.

IX. We Believe that all Christians are ordained by the Holy Spirit to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

X. We Believe in all gifts of the Holy Spirit being active in the church today.  We Believe that no one believer will receive all of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, but that God shall divide the Gifts as He wills.  We Believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit will accompany His presence in the life of the believer, namely, they may speak in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy and discernment as described in the holy scriptures. We also believe the gifts themselves should not be sought but rather the Giver of the gifts. (I Corinthians 12:8-11)

XI. We Believe it is the primary duty of all Christians to serve as witnesses, and to minister to others according to the gifts they receive from the Holy Spirit, to witness to others of the saving power of Jesus Christ as the spirit leads.

XII. We Believe that the Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest gift of God the Father and His Holy Spirit, and should be the primary message of the Christian church, taking precedence over all human differences, whether they be theological, denominational, ideological, or physical in nature.

XIII. We Believe that all offices of the Ministry should be open and available without restriction to all Christians Called by God, whether male or female, regardless of Position or Authority, and that Ordination should be freely given, even as God's Salvation is freely given to those that Believe on the Name of Jesus Christ.  (Galatians 3 : 28)

XIV. We Believe that the institution of Marriage should exist solely in the Biblical ideal of being between One Man and One Woman.

XV. We Believe that all applicants for ordination living with someone of the opposite sex must be married to that person; no civil unions or unmarried cohabitation will be acceptable.  (1 Corinthians 6 : 9)
